Built from 35 years inside the trade

Red Seal Training Academy is a subsidiary of AnchorPoint Consulting Group, built by Red Seal tradespeople who have held the tickets, worked the jobs, and sat the same certification exams you are preparing for.

About Red Seal Training Academy

We started in the trades in Scotland, qualified in heavy industrial work in the UK, worked across Australia, and have spent the last two decades in Canada on major industrial operations, infrastructure projects, and shipbuilding — including Canada’s Federal Fleet Renewal program at Vancouver Shipyards with Seaspan.

We built Red Seal Training Academy because the exam prep that existed wasn’t good enough. Most of it is written poorly. The questions are generic, the explanations are thin, and the format doesn’t reflect how the actual exams are structured. We knew we could build something better. Every book in this series is built from 35 years of knowing what the work actually involves, what the exams actually test, and what separates the tradespeople who pass from those who don’t.

The exam prep the trades actually deserve

Most exam prep books for trade certifications are built by publishing companies, not tradespeople. They cover the topics in the study guide but miss the context — the application, the judgment calls, the knowledge that only comes from doing the work at a professional level over a long career. The result is questions that test memorisation instead of understanding.

Red Seal Training Academy builds exam prep from the inside out. Every question in every book is written with the actual work in mind — what a journeyperson encounters on the job, what the exam actually tests at each level, and what understanding looks like versus what guessing looks like. The Learning Pack and Exam Format structure is designed around how working adults actually learn and retain information under examination conditions.
